There’s some more fallout from the ongoing loot box debate.
Turn 10 Studios today announced that it will be removing prize crates (its version of free loot crates) from Forza Motorsport 7, most likely during the coming winter. Additionally, Turn 10 will not be bringing paid tokens, which were included in previous Forza games, to either Forza Motorsport 7 or October’s Forza Horizon 4.
“While we’ve never charged money for prize crates in Forza Motorsport 7, their presence in the game has continued to be a source of controversy,” Studio Head Alan Hartman explained. “The overwhelming feedback has been that this system feels out of place in the game. After careful consideration, we have decided to completely remove prize crates from Forza Motorsport 7.”
